Wow,

At the Espnanol web site found out we have the financing for a $350
million baseball park.I laughed. Then cried, and then had thoughts...

Crazy, where they are going to put it? I don't want to be like Seattle's
where getting to it is hard and expensive parking.

I picture using the outfield as a camping site for the homeless. Well,
we could charge them $5.00 a night I guess.

Don't know if this is going to work. It rains a lot here, and we can't
build a covered stadium for $350 mil. Maybe if we use a giant tarp made
out of propholene. (misspelled I know)Hey it will work!! But where are
we going to put it? Below Wilsonville??

Anyone up for this? Play ball !!

Dogsdad

One suggestion has been to put it in NW Portland near the Broadway Bridge.

I don't think there will be any cheap parking, since they are probably
counting on using parking money to help pay off the cost.

It would be nice if they could find some ways to use it during the
off-season. Maybe put a big screen on the outfield wall and use it
as a drive-in theater.

No, it has to be somewhere within the Urban Growth Boundary.

Actually I think MLB had the right idea a few years ago when they wanted
to get rid of a couple of their loser teams like the Expos.
