My vote goes to Bobby Jackson. It's the last year of his contract. He'll
likely demand a long term contract next year, but he'll be too old, esp. for
the style of game he plays. Trade him while he still has trade value. Also
not attempting to come back from his injury may play into the mix. The
Kings get rid of players who are problematical, quickly.

My second vote goes to Peja. But I think the Kings still thinks he is too
valuable to trade.

Interesting, never thought of trading him... is there anyone on the
trading block that you think we could get for him?

He's still got 3 years left on a very cheap contract. He can still be a
great player if he figures out a way to score without spotting up. Maybe
a low post move or something. He also needs to grow some balls and

Have not researched that. But his contract (last year) and his age
definitely play into it.

How many times do I have to say this? Webber has very little trade value.

And you may be right.... but if the Kings pay a portion of his contract that
might make a difference. I have heard that Webber has asked for a trade due
to the boos. Maybe he should help accomodate the team and redo his contract.
(like that will happen!) BUT meanwhile, Webber should have been playing from
the bench in the second half. THAT cost us a lot.

Yes, but when you make a trade, the salaries of the players you trade
for have to match, so we may have to send off other players to make it
work. So we may not get anything good for Peja, or end up trading
someone we want.

And Webber, who's gonna want that big fat contract? If you wanted to
dump it, you could send him to the Bobcats, but other than that...

I think we should give this group one more year. I keep saying we're
panicing to early. This squad is still gonna get better.

Webber's knee, Peja's individual offense, Brad Miller, Mike Bibby...
they'll all get better. If we have another disappointing season then
maybe it is time to change the core group.

Adelman is much more to blame than Webber. Good thing for the rest of us that he is a friend of Petrie and will stick
around to drive his team into more disappointment.

I agree with you, this time. Adleman was the one putting Webber out there.

Webbe"r.
WRONG
Peja is the lowest paid all-star player.
VALUE per $
He needs to play less minutes.
He came into training camp tired and then played the 2nd most minutes of any
player in the league, then played 40+ minutes in every playoff game,. He
doesn't shoot well when he has tired legs. He needs a reliable backup so he can
rest a little. He also needs screens set for him. The next time Webber sets a
screen for him will be the first time.
I'd love to trade Webber but who would take him. AGAIN value per $
His value has been lowered and he has the 2nd highest contract.

Damn, I hate to say it, but my image of Webber just went up. I hadn't
heard this (or didn't remember) but it seems for one that truth
actually spewed forth from his lips.
